The Sydney Hobart Race by Liz Simons – 9th February at 8:00 p.m.
We’re back with another great members only Winter Wednesday talk via zoom on Wednesday 9th February at 8:00 p.m.
Our zoom series has featured a host of popular subjects including getting fit for sailing, aspects of dinghy racing, plus some superb insights into yacht racing.
Last year, Liz Simon’s ‘The Pacific Ocean Leg of the Clipper Round the World Race’ and ‘The Fastnet Race’ talks offered members a taste of what it means to take part in two of the World’s iconic yacht races. And, now, Liz will be sharing her experiences of taking part in The Rolex Sydney Hobart Race. This race is one of the toughest and most respected Category 1 ocean races in the world. It’s the only major race that starts in a harbour, takes in a passage and finishes in a river, so we have a real treat in store!
This exciting talk is scheduled for Wednesday 9th February at 8:00 p.m. via Zoom.
