Results from the Ogston Woolley Jumper are in, roll on the Staunton Blaster this weekend!

4 Staunton boats in the top ten at Ogston Woolley Jumper

Staunton boats took first and third in the first leg of the Midlands Mini Series – the Notts County Cooler. But this weekend it was a Northampton SC sailors who took the top spot – Andy McKee/ Steve Graham (Scorpion) – with two bullets and two seconds. Ogstson SC’s Roscoe Martin (RS Aero 7) and Martin Honnor (Solo) took second and third. Whilst Staunton travelling sailors secured four top 10 spots. East Midland Series first place up for grabs!

With two second places so far, Ogston SC’s Martin Honnor (Solo) is in a great position coming into the Staunton Blaster. However wins for, Staunton’s Grahame Newton/ Rachael Rhodes (Scorpion) and Northampton’s Andy McKee/ Steve Grahame (Scorpion) could see them take the series. So there’s lots to sail for!

Will Staunton sailors hold retain the trophy for a third year? Come along, join the racing this weekend – 2nd / 3rd March and find out. The forecast is looking good so there’s nothing to stop you.

Windguru Staunton Harold

Subject to conditions there will be five races over two days. Racing will be handicap racing (PY 912/900 and above) average lap and a pursuit race. Both dinghies and windsurfers (raceboarders) are welcome at Staunton.The briefing will be held at 10:45 a.m. on the Saturday 2nd March. Click here to download the NOR for the Staunton Blaster. Note that all 2019 paid up members of the participating clubs will enjoy free entry to each event.  All other travelling sailors and windsurfers (raceboarders) are welcome at £20 for the weekend or £10 a day (Juniors 1/2 price).
