If you’ve taken an RYA Level 1 and RYA Level 2 course with us in the last few years, or just haven’t had the opportunity, to go sailing for some time, join us at the club between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Saturday 14th April, and we’ll help get you back on the water.
Instructors on hand
We’ll have instructors on hand to support you, so that you get the most out of your sailing in 2018. We’ll help you rig the club training boats (RS Vision / Laser 13 / Laser 1 etc.). We’ll help you launch and we’ll even sail with you, if you would like us to.
There will be a chance to enjoy some of your favourite dinghy sailing exercises. You remember the ones – triangles, MOB and many more during the day, as resources allow. And we’ll also let you know about a ‘Hire a Boat’ scheme that we’ve set up for our recent course graduates.
Sailing partners and boats
It’s also the ideal opportunity for you to meet up with other sailing graduates and possibly even team up to sail a double hander together. If you haven’t quite decided which boat you’d like to sail take a look at our fleet page https://shsc.org.uk/recommended-classes/ . There will be people on hand, on the day, to talk you through the pros and cons of each class. You can also pick up a copy of our new 2018 sailing calendar. Or, find out about some of our training courses like sailing with spinnakers or ready to race. And you could have a chat about our popular Rookie Club which will be available again this year, and schedule it into your diary.
