The RYA Club of the Year 2014 presented to Staunton Harold Sailing Club
Proud Day for Staunton Harold S.C.
British Sailing Team’s Megan Pascoe and RYA CEO Sarah Treseder present the award at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show last Saturday, 1st March 2014.
Recognition and Reward
It was with immense pride and unbounded celebration that Staunton Harold Sailing Club accepted the award (and magnificent trophy) as The RYA Club of the Year 2014 from the British Sailing Team’s Megan Pascoe and RYA CEO Sarah Treseder at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show last Saturday, 1st March. The club has had the not insignificant honour of being a finalist in this award for the last 3 years, so it was 3rd time even more lucky!
Sarah highlighted our friendly, welcoming ethos, range of RYA training courses, work with schools and the local community and significant programme of facilities investment over the last 3 years. It is a recognition and reward for all the sustained effort from our legions of indefatigable volunteers in all the sections of the club over the years. Great news indeed, and the Club will continue to grow and prosper on the substantial back of this award! Our very worthy colleagues in the final were Brightlingsea Sailing Club, Horning Sailing Club, Sussex Yacht Club and Ulley Sailing Club.
The club’s presentation and video for the final of the Club of the Year are attached, as is the RYA Press Release.
