Four Events across the East Midlands
Featuring four weekends of sailing, at four different clubs across the East Midlands, the East Midlands Mini-Series gives 2022 a racing start.
All four events are free to fully paid up 2022 members of the participating clubs.
Visiting dinghies from non-participating clubs are also welcome at each event and Windsurfers are welcomed at Notts County and Burton SC. Fees per weekend for visitors from non-participating clubs are:- £20 per Adult double handed boat for 2 days, £14 per Adult single-handed boat for 2 days, £15 per Adult double handed boat for 1 day, £8 per Adult single-handed boat for 1 day – Junior entry half these fees. Briefings 10.45am Saturday. Check Club NOR’s & SI’s for exact details via each clubs’ websites.
Catering will also be available at each club. Please check participating clubs’ Websites, in advance for Covid Restrictions, any other information (such as cancellations) and sign on in advance where indicated:-

Notts County Cooler – 29th/30th January
Always a popular venue for SHSC sailors, our Notts County sailing friends will be looking forward to welcoming us on 29th/30th January, with a pre-race briefing at 10:45 a.m. on the Saturday, with the first race on or shortly after 11.30 a.m. The first race on the Sunday will be on, or shortly after 10.30am on the Sunday. Burton Blizzard – 12th/13th February
Burton SC will be joining the series this year, making it even bigger. The second in the series, their event is scheduled for 12th/13th February, again with a pre-race briefing at 10:45 a.m. on the Saturday and the first race on or shortly after 11:30 a.m. As with Notts County the first race on the Sunday will be on, or shortly after 10:30 a.m.. Staunton Blaster – 19th/20th February
We’ll be hosting the third in this exciting East Midlands Series on 19th-20th February. The Blaster will be our first Open sailing event of 2022, so if you’ve not already represented the club at both or one of the above events then this is a great chance to compete with people from across the region! The pre-race briefing on the Saturday will be at 10:45 a.m., with the first race on or shortly after 11:30 a.m. and the first race will be on, or shortly after 10:30 a.m. on the Sunday. Ogston Wooley Jumper 26th /27th February
