Why dinghy sailing?
Dinghy sailing has something to offer everyone, from a relaxing, cruise in light winds, to the adrenaline rush of racing, it’ll take you away from the everyday. It’s great fun, thrilling, sociable and something you can learn to do locally at Staunton Harold Sailing Club (SHSC).
When and how much?
Our next RYA course starts on 31st August and runs every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. though to 2nd November. The course costs just £200 (plus £75 for non – SHSC members). Booking is easy via our online system at https://shsc.org.uk/adult-training/. Following the Adult RYA syllabus the course combines land-based and on the water sessions, in a fun inter-active format to get you out on the water and sailing. Designed for the complete beginner the RYA Level 1&2 courses take students from complete beginner to safety conscious sailor with a basic knowledge of sailing who can sail competently in light winds. What do I need?
Buoyancy aids, wetsuits and spray tops are provided, just bring bags of enthusiasm, suitable closed toe non-marking footwear, old clothes/ swimwear and a towel.
