Craig Williamson in top form at RS Aero World Championship
Staunton sailors are achieving great results across a range of Championships this summer. The latest results are for Craig Williamson at the 2018 RS Aero World Championship at the RS Games, Weymouth & Portland. Williamson finished fourth overall at the end of four days of racing. Great result!
Six second places and a third to count
With just a point separating each of the second, third and fourth placed boats (13, 14 and 15 nett points respectively) racing was close and places hard won! Williamson took six second places and a third, but with the leader on seven bullets and both second and third placed finishers also taking a sprinkling of joint firsts the Staunton sailor took a fourth overall. Williamson just being squeezed out of third place – losing the position to Steve Cockerill on the count back rule. A superb result in a strong fleet of 103, highly competitive sailors.
