If you have driven a powerboat but have no PB2 qualification we offer a Direct Assessment half day in which you demonstrate your skills to an instructor and may be awarded the qualification.
We also include a 3-hour safety management element as an addition to the RYA course content, this session will give advice on club safety procedures and practical advice on how to manage safety whilst on duty covering both cruising and racing.
The age requirement for this course currently is a minimum of 16 years of age, there may be availability for under 16’s please contact the club for more information.

In 2021 there will be opportunities to attend short seminars/refreshers on Safety Boat issues. Please get in touch if you are interested. To book your place please contact Rob Watson via trainingpb@shsc.org.uk.
