The Top Gun Trophy goes to – Staunton Harold SC!
Wow! Congratulations to all our Scorpion Staunton Harold Sailing Club sailors who took part in the 2018 Gul Scorpion Nationals at Tenby Sailing Club.
Well done to Staunton’s Simon Forbes & Alan Krailing overall winners of the 2018 Gul Scorpion Nationals with five bullets! Plus two seconds to count – giving an 11 point finish overall.
Well done to Staunton’s Peter Gray & Andy Davis who achieved 2nd place. Two bullets, four seconds and two thirds giving an overall 16 points – just five behind the leaders and 12 ahead of third placed boat from Northampton SC.
Well done to Staunton’s Rachael Rhodes and Hannah Edge who took 1st in the Silver Fleet. The pair extended their points in the last few races on Steve Mitchell & Polly Newman 2032 to cement their Silver Fleet, first place finish.
And also well done to Staunton’s Richard Barnett who completed his first Scorpion Nationals with Martyn Denchfield, with a 35th placed finish out of 41 boats!!! Fantastic results!!
The superb results saw the team come away with the Top Gun Trophy for the best three boats from one club. What a result!
