The Blaster/ Cooler just got even bigger!

The Midlands first mini series for 2019 is now at three venues

Great news Ogston Sailing Club has joined Notts County Sailing Club and Staunton to turn the Blaster/ Cooler series into a three location event. The series will kick off on 9th/10th Feb at Notts County with the County Cooler. Ogston Sailing Club will host the second leg of the series on 23rd/24th Feb. The Staunton Blaster will then finish off the series on 2nd/3rd March.

This promises to be the best way to start 2019. Don’t forget to mark the dates in your new 2019 calendars! If you’ve not already got a crew, or need a helm then please go to our members section and post your details. Or, contact and we will try to match you in a dinghy.

Three weekends of racing

Set over three weekends, each leg of the series will start with a briefing at 10:45 a.m. at the host club. The second day of racing will see a slightly earlier start – first race around 10:30 a.m. Dinghies and windsurfers will be welcome at each event. The format will be handicap racing with five races over two days at each club. Food and drink will be available at each event. Entry will be free for 2019 club members from each of the participating clubs. Other clubs are welcome and encouraged to participate with a fee of £20 per event or £10 for one dat at each event. There will be half price entry for Juniors.

Please note that Notts County SC is 12 miles east of Nottingham whilst Ogston SC is close to Junction 29 of the M1 near Clay Cross. For further information and NORs, participants should go to Notts County SC’s website or Ogston SC’s website – please click. The Staunton NOR will be posted nearer the time.

Just to remind you of how enjoyable the mini series was in 2018
