Environment and Sustainability

Caring for Our Environment

The lake we sail on and its surrounding area is a rich and diverse habitat for many animals, birds, fishes and insects.

The Environment and Sustainability group aims to promote an awareness of environment and sustainability issues both within the club and the local area.

It provides guidance and information about good practice in these areas and encourages club members to support environmental and sustainability issues while using its facilities.

Club members can get information or become involved in the work of the group by contacting a member of the E&S group:

Richard Barnett, Nick Williams, Steve Boud, Phil Hardcastle, Hilary Weatherdon, Chloe Ashford-Smith at environment@shsc.org.uk
