IMPROVE YOUR SAILING

For Junior members, we offer a range of opportunities to improve skills and to get the best out of their boating activity in a relaxed and informal environment. There are of course our every popular Friday Night Sessions when junior sailors often come down to practise their skills with their friends.

Juniors can sail-race or cruise whenever there is safety provided

JUNIOR SQUADS  2024 saw the welcome return of Junior Squads. Look out for potential 2025 dates

Becky will be running Spring/Summer and Autumn coached race series again -she will do a briefing and then be out in a coach boat for the first race on each of these days.

Spring Sundays - 9.3, 23.3, 30.3
Summer Saturdays - 26.4, 3.5, 10.5
Autumn Saturdays - 6.9, 13.9, 20.9
These will be the junior race series for this year but we strongly encourage to take the opportunity to race at other times too!

There will also be an opportunity to join Stage 3/4 training mornings 10:30-12:30

Provisional dates -3.5, 10.5, 13.9, 20.9. 

Attendees will work toward their Stage 3 or Stage 4 qualifications (for Start Racing see below) in ability groups, learning improved boat handling and picking up elements of theory too.

We will keep a log of achievements and time spent under tuition so that we are able to offer RYA certificates to successful sailors.

The course is free to members but there will be a £15 fee if you want to receive the RYA certificate.
