IMPROVE YOUR SAILING

For Junior members, we offer a range of opportunities to improve skills and to get the best out of their boating activity in a relaxed and informal environment. There are of course our every popular Friday Night Sessions when junior sailors often come down to practise their skills with their friends.

Juniors can sail-race or cruise whenever there is safety provided

Becky will be running Spring/Summer and Autumn coached/supported racing -she will do a briefing and then be out in a coach boat for the first race on each of these days.

Preceding this

Junior Improver Stage 3/4 and race training mornings 9:30-12:30

Saturdays September 6th, 13th, 27th and Oct 4th, 11th

Attendees will work toward their Stage 3 or Stage 4 qualifications (for Start Racing see below) in ability groups, learning improved boat handling and picking up elements of theory too.

We will keep a log of achievements and time spent under tuition so that we are able to offer RYA certificates to successful sailors.

The course is free to members but there will be a £15 fee if you want to receive the RYA certificate.

The sessions have to be booked in advance using the sign on  link on the event page on the calendar for that day  (limit 18 sailors) please contact Becky Priest for any advise 

Coached supported racing is for adults and juniors 2pm to 3pm on the following Saturdays

Spring Sundays - 9.3, 23.3, 30.3
Summer Saturdays - 26.4, 3.5, 10.5
Autumn Saturdays - 6/9, 13/9, 20/9, 27/9, 4/10, 11/10

These will be the junior race series for this year but we strongly encourage to take the opportunity to race at other times too!
