We are a keen and active paddleboard section of Staunton Harold Sailing Club. We offer casual paddling and structured training opportunities. If you have any ideas of things you'd like to see happening at the club. Please contact us at sup@shsc.org.uk directly with your ideas and requests

WhatsApp Group

We have a member only SUP WhatsApp group that can be used to stay in contact with other paddling members, arrange group paddles, share information about organised sessions etc. This is also used for us to keep all paddlers informed about club activities and updates

Membership

You must be a SHSC member to be able to paddle board and all paddleboard members will be asked to do one club duty per year based on preference and your skills.
Your membership of the club gives you full access to the clubhouse and use of the water whenever there is rostered safety (see our online calendar) and to all the club social activities, galley and bar.
Please join in social events and activities, you will find the sailing club to be friendly and welcoming both on and off the water.

If you do not already paddle, it is best to book onto one of our intro to paddleboarding sessions
If you are a competent paddleboard member, you/and your family should arrange a meet with one of our team to learn all about safe paddling at SHSC. You must be able to self rescue, be aware of our club rules, informed about our lone paddler radios and have read our SHSC paddleboard guidance. (see below)

Dry Storage and Paddleboard Hire

We have an optional dry paddleboard storage container (contact us to find out the fee and availability) and we also offer paddleboard hire for courses at SHSC and for independent use once you are competent on a sessional or annual basis. For further info: Contact boathire@shsc.org.uk
