For Junior members, we offer a range of opportunities to improve skills and to get the best out of their boating activity in a relaxed and informal environment. Juniors can sail,race or cruise whenever there is safety provided

There are our ever popular Friday Night Sessions when junior sailors often come down to practise their skills with their friends.

Junior Improver: Stage 3/4 and race training mornings.

Juniors will work toward their Stage 3 or Stage 4 qualifications in ability groups, learning improved boat handling and picking up elements of theory too.

We will keep a log of achievements and time spent under tuition so that we are able to award RYA certificates to successful sailors.

5 Sep, 12 Sep, 19 Sep, 3 Oct, 10 Oct

Rigged & ready for 10:00 start. Morning session finishes at 12:30

The course is free to members but there is a £15 fee for RYA certificates.

On all of the above dates, we will be offering coached/supported racing for both juniors & adults. There will be a briefing and then an instructor will be out in a coach boat for the first race (2pm start) on each of these days.

The sessions have to be booked in advance using the sign on link on the event page on the calendar for each day (limit 18 sailors). Please contact Becky Priest if you have any queries. 

The junior race series will take place on the above dates, we strongly encourage all juniors to take the opportunity to race at other times! There will always be someone on hand who is prepared to offer some advice on rigging or racing.
