The Commodore and Buckley -  Fleet challenge Day

Calling all of our sailors - please join us for a full day Fleet Challenge. We're challenging each fleet to get the highest percentage of their fleet out on the water! For sailors who have not been racing long, the more you sail with your fellow fleet sailors, the more you can learn from them by simply watching, following/ copying. So it's a great way to have fun and improve your own sailing skills. 

Let the games begin!

Morning Race - Commodore Cup

11:30 a.m. or soon after the starting horn will sound for a long handicap race of at least 60 minutes. Any guesses which fleet will have the most dinghies on the water, and who will sit on top of the leader table?

Afternoon Race - Buckley Trophy

1:30 p.m. or soon after will sound the Mirror Start for the afternoon's two hour Pursuit Race. Each fleet will have their own start, so a great chance to enjoy individual fleet starts (the more boats in each fleet the merrier!). Start times for this two hour race will be posted at the club, shared on the members' FB page and sent via email the week prior to the race. Please check your times before going out on the water. 

All boats are asked to stay in their finishing positions whilst their sail numbers are recorded. Don't forget the racing becomes even more fun / competitive when your fellow fleet sailors join you to tussle for that best start and fastest lap(s).

Post racing

Don't forget to join in the social, post race banter in the bar after the racing and cheer on all of our winners and racers!
