Staunton Harold Sailing Club - Finalist in the RYA 2026 Club of the Year Award - Green Blue Category

We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the second consecutive year in the prestigious Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Awards in the Green Blue Team category!

This award celebrates teams that have inspired and supported affiliates to implement sustainable practices or introduce environmental projects that actively reduce carbon footprints within organisations. 

The RYAs environmental initiative, The Green Blue, is a long-standing programme created to promote sustainable recreational boating and protect inland and marine waters through practical guidance, resources and awareness raising. 

Throughout 2025 and into 2026, we have continued to build on the sustainability efforts recognised last year, and have introduced further initiatives including:

• Solar energy installation on the clubhouse & tested electric RIB solutions
• Low-energy solutions throughout club buildings 
• Continued with environmentally responsible practices introduced in 2024/2025

These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and our clubs dedication to sustainability in action.
