Staunton travelling sailors take 1st and 2nd at the 2025/26 Selden Sailjuice Series launch event

Huge congratulations to our travelling sailors who took part in the Fernhurst Brooks Draycote Dash on 22nd/23rd November. With 93 dinghies competing in what was the first race in the winter Selden Sailjuice Series, the fleet was stacked with talent!

Tom Gillard/ Rachael Gray (Merlin Rocket) finished with two firsts, and two seconds to count giving them, their second consecutive win in this event. This puts the duo at the top of the leader board for the series.

Pete Gray (Streaker) meanwhile came a comfortable second overall. Notably he won the Pursuit race managing to keep Tom and Rachael 200m in his rear view mirror as the final hooter sounded.

21st placed - Chloe Willars/John Tailby (Fireball) the duo were also 2nd female helm & 2nd Fireball (Notts County/ Staunton)

48th placed - Sam Jones/ Jake Willars (Fireball) (Staunton/ Notts County)

51st placed - Graham Watts / Helen Jacks (Miracle)
